Camping Outfit!

I am going top go camping in the High Sierra Mountains to celebrate my little brothers 9th birthday. So in honor of that I decided to make an outfit. Its going to be somewhat warm so I made one for a warm summers hike in the mountains.

The Shirt
I picked a cute black tee that shows off the outdoor mentality. I love the tight fit because it brings out the best in a woman's figured .

The Bottoms
Although going with light colored pants it is a classic color when going hiking. I loved the big pockets because you store lots of stuff.

I'm Back!

Hey All!!
Sorry I haven't been around. I needed a break for the blog. A time to get my head together and learn about myself a little more. I am so much better now and I am ready to get back in the saddle. Thanks for all the love and support!

Fashion Week Day 3

• Going to church
What do you wear to church?

My Church is very casual but I love wearing pretty skirts and dresses anyway. What do you like to wear when you come to worship God and fellowship with other believers?

The Dress: Looking for a dress for church is hard. First it can’t be to low and second it can’t be too short which just eliminated about 90% of the dress that are on the target shelf. I found one that balances both. the high neckline cover you up, while the above the knee length keeps is nice and cool. The crazy print shows off the wild side! :)

The Shoes: Most of my church friends are shorter that me so I hardly ever wear heels and when i do i usually take them off somewhere between my walking in and the start of the worship music. I have fallen in love with anything that has a flat sole. (pun not indented) Notice how these sandals pull out the background colors of this dress. Even though there is a slight heel its still a great shoe to help complete this outfit.

The Jewelry: Most of the time when you go to church you wear a cross so I am going with this theme.

My mom fell in love with this bracelet when i showed her it the chunkiness of it and shininess made her freak out! It took me a little while to warm up  to it but now I like it.

The ring is so cute but is to be worn on the hand opposite the bracelet don’t want to overwhelm just one arm.

Fashion Week - Day 2

Going to a spring Wedding
Modest, classy, but not too expensive. How will you pull it off?
This can be a tricky one, because party dresses tend to be either expensive or revealing…and a lot of times, both! Two rules you must keep in mind are, 1 don’t out shine the bride and 2 No white.Hard, but you can do it; I believe in you!!!

The Dress: I LOVE THIS DRESS!!! The style is great something you can wear a short cut jacket if it in the evening and just leave as is for the day. I also love how you could easily wear this to church and look absolutely fabulous!!

The Bow adds a really nice touch.

The Cost was $65

The Jewelry: I simple necklace is perfect for this but not to long should rest between your throat and the top of the dress dead center is best.A wedding is about love making the heart represent something. a simple silver chain goes great with the pendent.

Add a charm bracelet and Tada great wedding jewelry.

The Shoes: Complete the outfit with some simple not to high sandals.

Fashion Week - Day 1

Going to the big game
Show your team spirit and make an outfit you would wear to a big game!
I would wear this to a breeze New York Yankees Game
The Shirt: Showing some team sprit. I really Like the baggy Tees because they go well with tighter fitting jeans.

The Pants and Shoes: Although not necessarily the red shoe laces or the socks. I would invest in some nice white laces and get some ankle socks.I also love the cut of these jeans perfect for cooler weather. Also notice how they hug the legs this adds a nice opposite to the baggy tee.

The Hair: Because this outfit is so casual you should dress up the hair a little. I love this look that Kate pulls off. I have thicker hair so it will work well. The Strand around her face softens the look adding to the girl next-door look.

5 Ways to Be a Wise Teen

“For wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her.” Proverbs 8:11 (NKJV)

Imagine if you had the ability to know what to do in every situation you ever faced. From your dad’s temper and fights with your best friend to dating dilemmas and more, imagine having the knowledge to know what to do in every single instance without fail.

There is a way you can know one hundred percent how to handle each set of circumstances. Sound like a fantasy? It’s not. It’s called wisdom.

A few years ago I was chatting with my older friend Buck and I told him that a lot of people thought i was very wise. I still to this day don’t know how that came up in conversation but it did. He said that I should try reading Proverbs and it would make me even wiser. I said I would and I started that night.

I didn't really understand what I was reading but day after day,But I read. I began to notice that Solomon, the author of Proverbs, spoke on four topics frequently: wisdom, knowledge, understanding and discernment.

I began to pray that God would give me wisdom since it seemed to be a really big deal to Solomon. I've now been praying that same prayer for a long time.

Merriam-Webster.com defines wisdom as the “ability to discern inner qualities and relationships.” Having wisdom is to have insight and discernment on what to do in any given situation.

Where do you get wisdom? You can’t just walk into a fast food restaurant and say, “I’d like two chocolate milkshakes, a burger, and oh yeah, a side order of wisdom.”

How can you be a teenager full of wisdom in today’s society? I’ve found five simple steps for being a teenager filled with wisdom.

1. Confess. Regular confession keeps us in tune with God. Sin in our lives often blocks our interest in hearing God’s voice. Be quick to confess your sins and accept that God remembers them no more.

2. Stay humble. Acknowledge that God is Supreme Ruler of the universe. No one deserves more respect, praise or adoration than Him. Stay humble by being quick to give the glory in everything you do and say to God and God alone.

3. Ask for wisdom. The only true source of wisdom is God. Look at what James, an early Christian had to say about wisdom: “But if any man among you is without wisdom, let him make his request to God, who gives freely to all without an unkind word, and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5, Bible in Basic English)

4. Read Proverbs. Like Buck suggested. If you want to be wise, reading Proverbs daily is a must. The book of Proverbs written by Solomon contains many wise sayings that are relevant to our lives even today.

5. Have the right attitude. B.J. Hamrick, editor of RealTeenFaith.com says, “Being wise is really a matter of the heart. If the servant is like his master, knowing Jesus and drawing near to Him is what makes us wise.” Be Joyful even in the hard times Proverbs 17:22 says "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."

Ultimately, wisdom is the result of a teenager that loves Jesus and seeks His will above all.
